Path to Tolerance; The Photography of Robert Lloyd
This exhibition is one of quiet post-retirement observations. Often our personal visions are viewed from a hole in the ground. We only see the circle of sky above our hole. As we climb out of our hole we begin to notice cloud patterns, storm clouds and rainbows that we couldn’t see before. The photographs in this exhibition represent my observations as I climb from the hole. There are stories of trafficking and violence, travels to other parts of the world, things that might be considered taboo in one culture but acceptable in others, a variety of processes, equipment and technology, and artistic styles. Hopefully as you view these images you can ask yourself what your relationship is to them. Is it inclusion, exclusion, segregation or integration? I am hoping that a consensus of tolerance can be built by sharing these quiet observations.
